Mountain Mandarin Growers' Association

The Mountain Mandarin Growers' Association has been growing delicious seedless mountain mandarins for over 50 years in the fertile soil of Placer County, California. Beginning with a few growers in Penryn and Loomis, the Mountain Mandarin Growers Association now boasts over 30 members spread throughout the rural areas of Auburn, Newcastle, Penryn, Loomis and Lincoln. The widespread popularity of this wonderful sweet fruit is the reason why our association continues to grow. For more information about the Mountain Mandarin Growers' Association, please call (916) 663-1025.

The Mountain Mandarin Festival celebrates the start of mandarin season each year. The festival takes place the weekend before Thanksgiving (November 21-23, 2008) at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn. Bringing over 30,000 visitors to the beautiful foothills of Placer County, this annual event is in its 15th year and is a fun filled weekend for the whole family to experience great food, fun, crafts, live entertainment and of course, lots of mandarin oranges!

Each year, beginning in November and continuing through January, we invite you to stop by and visit our orchards. Enjoy a day in the country touring both big and small mandarin orchards where you will find mandarins in bags, boxes and baskets. Several orchards have winter fruit, vegetables, and mandarin-related products, such as marinades and syrups for sale and a handful of orchards have picnic areas for lunch. Mandarins make a wonderful holiday gift for friends, family and business associates. Shipping is also provided by many of the growers. For more information on what is offered, please see our Attraction Guide.

Also, please check out our 2007 Orchard Guide sponsors and when you're in town, we encourage you to stop by their businesses and say hello! If you are interested in becoming a sponsor in our 2008 Orchard Guide, please click here to download our sponsor information.

We look forward to meeting you ...

Sincerely,
The Mountain Mandarin Growers' Association
