Taste the Difference.

During the winter months, the Placer County hills have a distinctive orange glow from the ripening Mountain Mandarins. The warm days and cool nights in Penryn, Newcastle, Loomis, Lincoln and Auburn make this area a perfect place to grow sweet, juicy, seedless mandarins.

Mountain Mandarin Growers’ mandarins are tree-ripened and hand-picked to ensure they are ripe and nutritious. This popular, seasonal citrus fruit is easy to peel and fun to eat.

The season kicks off each November with the Mountain Mandarin Festival in Auburn. In December, Mountain Mandarin Growers celebrate the harvest with Orchard Days held at participating ranches. You can sample and purchase mandarins and mandarin products along with wine tasting, artists, crafters, food, animals, and lots of family fun.

Visit a Mountain Mandarin Grower’s orchard and taste the difference for yourself. You can also pick them up at PlacerGROWN Foothill Farmers Markets and select local stores. Most growers ship, so you can share them with family and friends across the country.

Be sure to look for the Placer County Mountain Mandarins’ logo to guarantee you’re getting the best mandarins available.
